Kym Whitley
Kym Elizabeth
Whitley was born July 21st 1961 was an American comedian from America. She is
best known for her appearances on television sitcoms like Animal Practice,
Young & Hungry and Parkers. Whitley was awarded the BET Comedy Award as
Outstanding Supporting actor in Box Office Movies for her role on Deliver Us
From Eva. Whitley was born in Shaker Heights, Ohio to Kaysonia and William
Whitley. Whitley and Whitley was a black architectural firm was her father's
initial partner. Whitley and Whitley collaborated in the construction of Tower
City Center. Whitley was also involved in the work on the Cleveland State
University Convocation Center. Lincoln Junior High School. The Lee-Harvard
Branch, Cleveland Public Library. The Central Area Multi-Service Center. And
the development of the Cleveland Clinic Guesthouse. The joint venture that
developed and built Jacobs Field (now Progressive Field) was also part of
theirs. Whitley was a graduate of Shaker Heights High School in 1979 and Fisk
University, Nashville, Tennessee in 1979. Whitley was also inducted into Alpha
Beta Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta. Whitley was the main character in Shelly
Garrett’s show Beauty Shop in 1989. It opened in Los Angeles and later traveled
all across the United States. Whitley's other big role was in the sitcoms My
Brother and Me and Sparks.
