Rena Sherel SOFER
Rena Sherel Sofer is an American actor,
best known for her appearances on the daytime network, occasional guest
appearances as well as made-for TV films. Sofer won the Daytime Emmy Award in
1995 for her role as Lois Cerullo on the soap drama General Hospital. She has
been portraying Quinn Fuller since 2013 on CBS the soap drama The Bold and The
Beautiful. Sofer was born in Arcadia, California, the daughter of Susan Sofer,
a psychology professor and Martin Sofer, a Conservative rabbi. Her family later
moved to Pittsburgh in Pennsylvania. She then moved together with her father
David, to Teaneck, New Jersey in 1970. However, Sofer lived in Western
Pennsylvania as a child. They resided in Ambridge, Pennsylvania, where her
father ran the Beth Samuels Jewish Center. Later, she attended the Frisch
School, a coeducational Mordern Orthodox Jewish high school located in Paramus,
New Jersey. Sofer resided in North Bergen, New Jersey, where her father was
Rabbi of the synagogue Temple Beth El. She graduated from North Bergen High
School, then attended classes at Montclair State College. Sofer was the first
to portray Lois Marie Cerullo at General Hospital. Her first appearance came in
1993 as a manager of a band. Her first appearance on television was that of Rocky
McKenzie, a daytime soap hosts. Sofer is most likely best known for her role as
Lois Cerullo on General Hospital (December 15 1993 - September 24 1996). She
later returned as a guest star (February 7-17 September 30, 1997 to October 2,
1997). In 1995, Sofer won a Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting
Actress on a Drama Series for her performance in the role of Lois. Sofer became
a part of CBS's soap opera The Bold and the Beautiful as Quinn Fuller, a role
she created just. The premiere episode premiered in July 2013. Sofer has
appeared in numerous prominent prime-time TV shows in a guest-star or
supporting cast member rolesincluding Seinfeld, Melrose Place, The Chronicle,
Ed, Friends, Spin City, Blind Justice, Ghost Whisperer, 24, NCIS, and Two and a
Half Men.
