Sarah Hyland
Sarah Hyland was the daughter of actors Melissa D. Canaday (New York City) and Edward James Hyland (New York City). She started her career in the industry at age 4 when she began doing voice overs and commercials. Private Parts (1997) was her first film. The Object of My Affection (1998) followed by Another World (1964) where she played "Rain Wolfe", a child discovered in the park who was taken care of and nurtured by Josie. Sarah was able to continue working with Amy Carlson ("Josie") several times: Falcone (2000) and Law & Order (1990) and Law & Order: Trial by Jury (2005). Sarah was selected to portray the character of "Audrey Hepburn" in Jennifer Love Hewitt’s The Audrey Hepburn Story (2001). The following year, she was also chosen to play "Molly" in ABC's The Wonderful World of Disney: Annie (1999). It starred Kathy Bates, Audra Mcdonald, Victor Garber, Kristin Chenoweth, and Joe Gould's Secret (2000), and Falcone (2000). Sarah was a vocalist, jazz hip hop, tap Theatre Dance and voice. She also performed with her tap class and Theatre class at "Reel to Real" in Lincoln Center as invited performers. Sarah was born in New York and raised in New York. Sarah was home-schooled by her mother until 2nd grade. After that, she attended Public School. Sarah was accepted in 6th year to PPAS (Professional Performing Arts School) and stayed there until her graduation in 2008. When Sarah was 18 and moved to Los Angeles, CA and, within two weeks, was able to get a pilot name "My American Family". When she was picked up, the name was changed to Modern Family (2009). Sarah is currently playing Haley Dunphy, the oldest Dunphy child. Modern Family (2009) was nominated for the Emmy award for Outstanding Comedy Series.
