Michelle Lynn Monaghan Bio

Michelle Lynn Monaghan, born 23rd March 1976, is an American actor. She is best known for her leading roles in Kiss Kiss Bang Bang (2005), Gone Baby Gone (2007), Made of Honor (2008), Eagle Eye (2008), Trucker (2008), Source Code (2011), Pixels (2015), and Patriots Day (2016). Her leading role in Mission: Impossible III (2006), Mission: Impossible Ghost Protocol (2011) and Mission: Impossible Fallout (2018) has earned her respect. Monaghan was also nominated for the Golden Globe Award as Best Supporting Actress. She was also the character Sarah Lane on the drama series The Path (2016-18). Monaghan was also a part of Eva Geller in the 2020 Netflix thriller series Messiah and the show ended up being cancelled after just one episode. Monaghan was the daughter of Sharon Hammel and Robert Monaghan (a factory worker) and was born in Winthrop, Iowa. Monaghan has two brothers older than her, Bob and John. Monaghan is a Catholic of Irish and German descent . She graduated from East Buchanan High School, 1994. She moved to Chicago following graduation to pursue a degree in journalism at Columbia College Chicago. Then she began modeling. She also has modeled in Tokyo, Hong Kong and Singapore as well as in the United States. She quit New York for an acting career after she completed her 1999 journalism degree. Her first role was a model. Monaghan's two first television credits, both as a supporting character, were in episodes of Young Americans in 2000. She also performed in Law & Order: Special Victims Unit in "Consent", an episode that aired on the 19th of January 2001. She made her big-screen debut that same year in Perfume in the role of Henrietta. Her next film, again with a supporting part in 2002, was Unfaithful with Richard Gere and Diane Lane.
